A full moon hangs from a thread in the evening sky. The dock—kissed by ripples of water—succumbed to slumber as the lake quells. Silence broken by caterwaul. In the cabin, my companion perambulates about—windows candent by light, cut crisp shades of yellow in perfect geometry. Gratitude bestowed upon the North Star as the table is set for a game of Cribbage.
